Someone had asked awhile ago about getting an image into the mesh or free form model box ala Infini-D. Well, this is the next best thing. Simply add a couple cubes to the scene window & map your images to the sides, "jump in" your spline or mesh modeler (into a new window) & you're almost done! This was to be a free-form knights' helmet but seeing as it not working out I'd thought I'd post it as an example. I can't seem to get the right control points to line up right from one cross section to the next, it's starting to look more like spaghetti to me.

willf, Hey thanks! I actually think I might be able to handle that, even with my total newbie skills. It'll probably be a couple of weeks before I have some free time to try it, though. I really appreciate it. Thanks again, Gorgy

I can see where this helmet has made it through successful modeling stages. I bit of forming here or there, throw on a really good bump and/or tex. and it's home free! = )
