I am having some trouble with area lighting. I use an object that has in the glow channel, a texture multiplied by a scale slider to make it super bright (As mentioned in the manual). The problems I have are... 1) Area lights artifact like crazy unless the best indirect light settings are used. I do find using Excellent along with low interpolation settings seems to sort of blur out the artifacts occasionally. 2)Only one light bounce is evaluated. This means that if I use an area light to light a red object on a white floor none of the red colour bleeds onto the white floor as it would if I were using a spot light. It would be really useful if Carrara let me adjust the number of light bounce that occur when using radiosity. Quite strangely I sometimes do occasionally get the required colourbleed effect from area lights but I cant figure out why. Any ideas? Thanks.
