Subject: Weird problem

Once in a while I had this problem, with Poser 3, but ever since I got Poser 4 it never happened that I can recall. Then all of a sudden things start going wonky, and most of my preinstalled Poser 4 female figures won't load right. Usually the entire figure is missing. It's really odd, because it was perfectly fine for quite a while. I went and got the Curious Labs update, but it still hasn't helped. And it's ONLY with the P4 female figures (including P4 Nude Woman and the various P4 characters). Might have something to do with my memory problems that I recently fixed with the comp, but hard to tell. Any ideas/suggestions?

I have a 192 mb. I was having some problems with the RAM before, but now things seem to be working right. Afterall, Poser runs while other programs are up too. :)

REINSTALL POSER

The P4 Female OBJ RSR must be corrupted (PC); delete that and let poser rebuild it the next time you access a P4NW based figure. "Runtime/Geometries/P4NudeWoman/P4NudeWom.rsr" -JH.

Hey, I had that problem. I'm not sure why it seems to effect mainly female figures, but I did get a solution from the Forum. I delete all the geometry RSR files whenever it happens. Poser rebuilds them anyway and this gets rid of any corrupt ones. You can't imagine how many perfectly good figures I got rid of because I thought something was wrong with them, but I don't have that problem anymore.

Poser rebuilds them anyway As long as you haven't got any downloaded figures that were supplied with the geometry only as an .RSR without matching .OBJ . I have heard of that being done. There is a utility called RSR2OBJ in the Poser Free Stuff that translates mesh RSR into OBJ .
