Subject: Custom Clothing

I have been wanting to make custom clothing for Poser models, and I read the manual on how to do it. I wanted to do it with 3D Studio Max R3, but when I try to import the OBJ file I get an error saying it's invalid. Does anyone know why I get this error or how I can fix it? Thanks.

Maybe there's a bug in the plugins. Did you check Habeware for any updates for R3?

I also downloaded the evaluation version of Rhino which also gave me a similar error. Perhaps I need to convert the OBJ files to another format before importing them?

Load the OBJ in UVmapper and re-save it. This should fix it.

If your plugins are up to date and you are still having problems, are you trying to load the OBJ files that come with the program and are stored in the Geometeries folder? Poser uses its own version of the OBJ format. You need to load these files into Poser (File/Import) then Export them again (use a new file name). You should now be able to load these OBJ files into other 3D applications. philc_agatha_white_on_black.jpg

For Rhino you can simply open the geometry .obj file in Obj to 3DM utility and convert to Rhino format.
