Attached Link: BVH shot then fall over animation.

Hi all , a friend of mine sent me some BVH mo-cap data files for a project that im working on, I wanted to use them within poser 5, i know how to import BHV into poser, the problem im haveing is with the names of the body parts, in my BHV File, dont match the ones in the defult figure for poser 5 male?.

How do i sent up my figure to use only the body part names in the BVH file,?. Do i have to create a new figure, based on only the body parts in my BVH.? im realy not to sure where to go next.

I have uploaded to my website a zip file with the BVH animation and a 1 frame BVh of the Defult poser 5 male figure, if anyone whats to have a look at what im talking about.

many thanks

smooow

As far as I know, the difference in names is not a problem. The hierarchy is the important thing. If the BVH hierarchy start with something like "pelvis", then "back1", then "back2", it will automatically map to "hip", "abdomen" and "chest" in Poser. So you don't have to rename! The BVH will work if its hierarchy structure matches the figure hierarchy structure.

The pen is mightier than the sword. But if you literally want to have some impact, use a typewriter
