Subject: UTC and SP3 question

I just noticed that Daz has a SP plugin for their texture converter...how come? I thought the mapping for V3 and SP were the same. I use SP with Vic3 textures, but I take the render right into Photoshop or Painter and never examined it that close. Where do they differ? SWAMP

I have wondered this, too. I accept that V3 and M3 are somewhat different, but V3 and S3P? The templates supplied with both are identical. Not very hi res, granted, but identical nevertheless.

I believe there are some very slight differences. Around the nipples and navel I think.

And the wrap at the wrists and ankles; much more noticable if you have a tattoo or scar that needs aligning.

Hey thanks,Sam,Jackson, and Dale. Not having any textures that were made just for SP,I didn't have anything to compare against. Now that I know what to look for,I do see the nipple does look a tiny bit off-centered. Nothing major, but as I use SP instead of V3,I might as well get the plugin. Thanks again,SWAMP

I take that back....not going to bother with the plugin. The texture I was looking at was one I was screwing around with in BodyPaint (that I really messed up). I started checking my regular Vic3 tex's and the one's I converted from Vic2 tex's....and can not see any faults. I compaired Vic3 and SP side by side with the same texture(s),and still can't see any different. Whatever the different may be is so slight I really can't see it. Thanks once again for your help.. The outer ends of the eybrows showed the biggest shift when I overlaid templates made in UVMapper and toggled the top layer on and off. There was a bit of movement at the nipples, too, but it was slight. That's just watching the mesh lines shift, however, things may look different if the mesh itself shifts non-uniformly between the figures.
