Subject: Computer Arts Projects #56 -- missing some Poser files?

Does anyone else have Issue #56 of Computer Arts Projects? This is the one which offered a free copy of Victoria 1.0 on the accompanying CD. There are also two Poser tutorials in that issue, one about texturing and the other about using magnets to create morphs, and while they both look great, the supporting tutorial files that are supposed to the on the CD are missing for me. This is a huge bummer, because the magnet tutorial has pictures that are too small to see the exact settings being used, and so the tutorial tells you to open up the screencaps on the CD to get the setting details. :-( I wrote to CA already asking about this, but I was just wondering if this was a mistake and the files were left off of all of the CDs, or if it's once again just the universe conspiring against ME. Gnarrr. That Soupmedia magnet-morph of Vickie looks so cool. I was really looking forward to playing with that tut, since I'm not very familiar with magnets.

You may already be aware of this and if so just disregard but Traveler has written some of the clearest and easiest to follow tutorials on morph creation with magnets. They can be downloaded at RDNA in the tutorial section - Morphing with Magnets: Parts 1-4

Thanks for the link, RHaseltine. I've tried three times to download the zip file that's linked in the forum (twice with the browser, once with an FTP client) and I can't open the file; it's invalid, according to Winzip. sigh Well, I emailed CA about it, so maybe I'll hear something from them.

Thanks, Kalypso! I'll have to check those out. I'm just annoyed because I paid fourteen dollars for this issue of Computer Arts Projects just to get the Poser stuff. Which I didn't get. growl

You're right fauve the zip is corrupted. They also included MAT Pose Edit in the CD but look how it's spelled on the cd cover: "MAT EDIT POSE". I wonder if they were in a hurry...
