Subject: Anyone got a cure for PBoost DFE texture referencing

Amandajp ( ) posted Thu, 22 April 2004 at 6:35 AM · edited Thu, 09 January 2025 at 5:12 PM

All of my texture paths in the DFE show as red (cannot be found!)even though the path is correct or if I change the path. The poser relative path is checked (have tried both), the correct runtime is being used (only have one)but everything else runs properly! Any ideas. Have contacted Howard he suggested that one of you good people might know. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the reply, forgot to mention that I have run correct reference and this has not made any difference to these references in PBoost. Cheers

Have you used the find function to locate the texture? Then use the change funtion if needed, then use the correct ref function to set the path. Sometime "Runtime" can cause issues. Change to ":runtime:x❌x"

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

I just fired up PBooost & mine does exactly the same thing, using the find function doesn't make any difference. I think it's an error in the DFE as CR corrects everything for me, I use it after every new install so there shouldn't be any errored textures for DFE to complain about. I know it didn't do this in the last version before this one as I used DFE all the time but haven't looked at it for a while so didn't notice this. nicked it's happening on both "Runtime:" & "runtime:" so that's not the answer I'm afraid :( wish it was

Thanks for the replies. Nicked, tried all you suggested and unfortunately none of your suggestions worked, thankyou for trying. Circle, nice to know I'm not alone in this was beginning to think I was going nutty. Did you ask Howard when you noticed this? Anyway thanks again. Cheers
