Howdy folks. I'm trying to figure out how to use a transmap. The original goodie is the Imagenation Gown for Michael available at http://www.realityspoison.com/modules/mydownloads/viewcat.php?cid=3 and the texture is the Blue Velvet Robe available at http://koti.mbnet.fi/behemoth/poser/imagination-gown-textures/index.html. I'm using Poser 5 and I just can't figure out how to work a transmap in the Materials room. I set the gown to the neutral color of white and I just can't figure this out. Poser 4 had a button to click so you could apply the bump maps, any idea where this same thing is or what it's called in P5?

Thanks, Dr. G! That's a really good explanation of the theory and one I badly needed. Now if I could only find the button to click like in P4... Heard you weren't feeling well. I had a TIA at work three years ago, they peeled me off my desk and sent me to the emergency room 130 miles away. Hope you get to feeling better quickly.

See Page 4 for how to plug in a tex map. Use the same method to get your transmap except you plug it into the "Transparancy" attribute and set the "Value" to "1" ... ok? ;=]

Oops, sorry, it's on Page 5. Load your (external) transmap ... (just like a texmap) ... but plug it into "Transparency." ;=]

Thank you, sir! I appreciate the help and, as with most tings, now that I've done it a couple of times in a row (make that about twenty) I think I'll remember how it's done.
