I currently own Bryce 3D and have done for about 2 years. I bought it off ebay when it was cheap.

Im thinking of upgrading to another render programme, because I enter competitions and I think maybe my renderer is letting me down. Theres a link to what I consider to be my 'best' image produced using Bryce 3D so you can judge my skills - I dunno, its not just the renderer - Im not exactly professional.

Should I upgrade to Bryce 5 or to another render programme completely. I want a graphic interface programme like Bryce - does Bryce 5 'look' like Bryce 3D?
And/or is anyone wanting to sell their copy of Bryce 5 for a CHEAP price?

Thanks

Rich

Corel is willing to sell Bryce 5 (full) for $70, lol. I remember seeing your picture tonight while patroling the Bryce gallery, The painting canvas was so subtle I missed it right at first. I like that about your pic. I believe there is a difference in the Bryce3D gui and Bryce 5's, but its not a complete change, mostly layout and colors (I've only seen the Bryce3D's gui in a book) AgentSmith

Bryce 5 is really cheap...but it all depends on what you are looking to get out of the application. Bryce is probably the best bang for its buck but if you NEED a faster renderer/ better overall program...than you may want to look into some of the higher end ones. However, Bryce is by far the easiest GUI Ive used in any 3d app (or most apps for that matter). So if your not willing to put up with a changed interface, then opt for Bryce 5.

I went straight from 3 to 5 with no problems and have never regretted it. I did try the vue demo, didn't like it at all. I like the bryce interface, and didn't notice much, if any, difference with 3 and 5.
