Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 25 4:22 pm)
Deep UV has some issues with Poser files; however, they are easy to get around. First, because Poser scaling is so small, the meshes appear to "blow apart" when you try to relax them in Deep UV. The way to get around this is to bring the object you want to UV map into Poser and scale it up by 10 or 100 times its original size. Export the large OBJ file and use that to create your UV map. Then, using UV Mapper, you can apply the UV map from the larger object onto your "real" Poser OBJ file. Another thing that Deep UV doesn't seem to like is groups ... so the best time to UV map your objects in Deep UV are before you assign groups to them. As far as the manual goes, I did receive a printed manual with my original purchase of Texture Weapons (which is now Deep UV) - but when I upgraded I only got the electronic version of the manual.

Is anyone using Deep UV with Poser? Is it easy to use (UV) and does it come with a printed manual or do you have to use the one on the CD?
