THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: OT...I'm going away, for those interested. 8)

catlin_mc ( ) posted Tue, 18 May 2004 at 8:33 PM · edited Sun, 24 November 2024 at 2:50 AM

Well, I haven't been around much recently but that's because I've been unwell, sorta heart trouble. Anyway my dearly beloved has decided to take me on holiday to the Greek island of Zante or Zakinthos to the locals. I'm hoping that while I'm away I can regather my energies and come back refreshed and in fighting form, (with a great tan), and get back to posting here with a fury. I know I will miss you all but I've been to Zante before and know where the internet cafe's can be found, so I may have to check up on you all while I'm away. We'll be flying out on Thursday morning and hopefully arrive, in one piece, by noon. Be well all and I'll post some pic's when I get back. 8) Catlin

Drink alot of...100% Welches Grape Juice...I am living proof that the stuff works...I would have pains thru the chest area for many months...Then a female friend suggested I use Welches and After the 5th or 6th day the pains started to go away and now I drink the stuff all of the time...May help you too...

catlin_mc ( ) posted Tue, 18 May 2004 at 9:07 PM

I've never heard of that foley, what exactly is it and do you think it would be available in the UK, or something similar? I'll take anything if the future prospects are good, even aspirin, yuck. 8) Catlin

foleypro ( ) posted Tue, 18 May 2004 at 9:21 PM

100% Welches Grape Juice... It is a Grape Juice that you drink and you can get at any Grocery store...It evens comes frozen too...It is a Juice...Ginda like Orange juice but Purple or Clear and better for you...Drink 3 glasses a day or more...

Ang25 ( ) posted Tue, 18 May 2004 at 10:00 PM

Its an acquired taste. Can't quite describe what it is about it thats different. Closest thing I can think is that it is a liquid and let it somehow tastes dry to me.

AgentSmith ( ) posted Tue, 18 May 2004 at 10:08 PM

Children't chewable, 81mg aspirins. Like candy, imo. Welches grape juice really started getting more apparent in the UK sometime last year, in what areas I'm not sure. But, it's there...somewhere. ;o) Have fun, be safe, and come back to us soon!!!! AgentSmith

Have fun in Greece! Funny, I also thought that I had heart trouble recently - had chest pains. But it was hypertension and pills apparently fixed it. And I should cut down on smoking. :-/

Catlin: You have a great time and get a great tan...not too much of a tan though....you'll be mistaken for an assilem(sp?) seeker and they won't let you back in.....heehee. Oh and don't talk too much....they think you're a Scot and won't let you back in. The Bryster PS: Hope your health improves, I've had a few scares like that in the past.

Catlin, Have a good time and don't eat any margerine or any other partially hydrogenated oils. A good oldfashioned walkabout is just the ticket! Good health, - TJ

catlin_mc ( ) posted Wed, 19 May 2004 at 1:10 PM

I think I'll have to find this grape juice and give it a try. Electroglyph Baklava is my favourite pudding but with the diabetes I can only have a little bit. Pakled I sunbathe topless is that what you mean? 8P Incarnadine I've not had much exercise over the past year and a half so I don't know if you would appreciate the sight of me in a bikini, but if I get any decent pics I may post. Just don't hold your breath. lol 8D The heart probs I've been having is high blood preasure, high cholesterol, and untimely beating. All of this is caused by the nerve damage associated with diabetes, I just didn't expect for it to get so bad so soon. Anyway I'm on the meds and my heart no longer beats like a hammer in the middle of the night and the last blood test came back yesterday and my cholesterol was coming back down, so I've not to worry. But that is easier to say than do. I'm going to miss my online family so you all behave (Bryster) and I'll see you when I get back. 8) Catlin

Hey isn't uzzo made from olive oil, a low density lipid? Looks like a nice flat island and calm harbor. They turn off the airport at night for sea turtles? Doesn't seem to be ruins but you don't need to do the mile hike up the parthenon thing anyway. Looks like a great place. Send us some pictures when you get back.

Erlik: Na-na....it was 190/120 and I'm still alive!! (Just) The doc got it down to 135/85 to 90. The down side is that if I don't take the meds for more than 24hrs I'm gonna pop a clot somewhere and bite the big one......

Hello gang that's me back, in the house for an hour and just had to come in to say hi all. 8) The weather was blistering even though it is only May and we were lucky 'cos most of the Olympics crowd haven't arrived yet, but I'm sure those who do go to Athens will do some island hopping while they're there. Most surprising thing was that I didn't really miss my computer although I saw lots of buildings and country I would like to recreate in Bryce and spent lots of time wondering how I could make Poser figures resemble some of the folks I saw. All in all it was a great week just not long enough, although I doubt it would be long enough no matter how many weeks I stayed there. Once I settle in at home I'll come back and communicate some more and investigate the goings on in here. 8) Catlin
