Subject: saving poses correctly???

I am sure there is a simple answer to this question but I can't figure it out so I need HELP...How do you save a pose to a library so when you use it again it loads the pose in proper relation to the ground plane? Mine end up anywhere and everywhere but where they should...Thanks

Turn off IK for the figure and zero the hip in xyz tran before saving the pose to the library. With IK off position the figure with the hip for poses that require it to be off the ground etc.. I don't think Body position is stored in the pose file, but hip position might. -JH.

Thanks Jeff..Hopefully that will take care of the problem I am having!

I have not run the experiment, but selecting "universe" may be necessary to keep the figure located where it was when the pose was saved. Another tip: do your poses on bald models. Otherwise, just make sure that the hair prop is not saved with the pose. A pose will work with that same hair prop just fine, but use another hair prop and strangeness happens.

Jeff, Thanks for the advice....It seems to have done the trick for me...Maybe I am wrong but it seems I found you must use the parameter dials for the hip adjustments instead of using the pose icons from up above...Not sure about that but it worked for me......thanks again

Oh yeah, I never use the cursor tools at all ;-) The dials are much easier to control IMO. -JH.
