For anyone who's tried it with success..... Is there a way to delete the ceiling light props and retain the ceiling only? I couldn't figure out if the ceiling is a group of props or one unit tho there seems to be 3 elements in the group. Thnaks again.......

hi! i've used the prop a few times. the only way i know to "delete" the ceiling fixtures is to go into the materials room and make the light fixtures (ballast, tubes, etc.) "transparent" (1.00000) - with no specular value and no colours.

UVMapper Pro might be able to see if there are multiple ceiling groups. If so, you can delete them and save the new model.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.

You can also use the grouping tool to separate this ceiling from the rest of the class.

Spook, that's a novel idea. That I'll do. I can't seem to separate the fixtures from the ceiling itself via grouping tool. Thanks everyone.

Here is the procedure in poser5 Open the grooping tool. Put the display mode into "wire". In the grouping tool select "new group". Name it "ceiling" for instance. Select a part from the ceiling with no lights in it. The border of the ceiling should be then lit in red. If you accidentally select a light, just hit the "remove all button" Hit the "spawn props" button, and you now have separate props in the hierarchy deitor, named : celilng uv 1 : this is the original ceiling : hide it ceiling : your new ceiling light, light line and light line 2 : these are the light : hide them. Et voil (just tested this as I wrote along, so it should work if we are speaking of the same class prop...) Hope this helps.

Compiler.... thanks for this tip. But do I have a feeling this is NOT applicable in Poser4? Or do I follow the same procedure?

It should be all right with Poser4. It's just that I'm not sure that the buttons have exactly the same name on the grouping tool palette, but otherwise everything should run OK.
