I think you've been quite successful with this one.... as Misha said your images are usually tack on sharp, so I can see why the concept is difficult to grasp.... Generally IMHO, I think using DOF and the pantyhose trick work well.... see the entries by OldFaithful, Enax, and Drea71.... I think those particular entries, have been the most successful in this exercise.... while others seem to have missed the mark entirely. The old gaussian blur layer in PS also works quite well in accomplishing the same thing....

Soft Challenge photo. I have to say I'm having a hard time getting my arms around the soft concept in general. I have played with several different ways to do it and subject as-well to best demonstrate it. Randy
