Subject: +++ CAN YOU HELP +++ with Poser Abbreviations ??????? .......

geep posted Tue, 08 June 2004 at 11:44 AM

Hi Guys,

Dr Geep here. I have agreed to compile a (sort of) dictionary of Poser abbreviations to help newbies unravel the convoluted world of Poser.

This graphic is only a sample of the types of abbreviations that are used.

We probably do NOT want to include commonly used abbreviations on the Internet, e.g., LOL - Laugh Out Loud, because it would end up having too many entries. I suspect a "dictionary" just for Poser will be big enough. ;=]

Your input is requested ...

You may:

Post your input to this thread

After a short period of time, I will generate a printable copy of the "dictionary" for those who might be interested.

Any suggestions to improve this "project' are (always) welcome.

We might even need to make a file cabinet for them. ;=]

cheers,
dr geep

There are many of us who take this seriously and it will be VERY useful to us when it's done. Now a few I don't understand: LS_wp2mystic1.cr2 -- (LS) Is that the name of the creator? If it is, I wish they wouldn't do that because it is confusing for us. DF (I have a DF Aiko) -- creator initials? PZZ, PZ3, PZ2 - when I first bought Poser, I thought these three were the same and I'm probably not the only one.

The other times it's the version of Poser or model name (as described above).

kobaltkween posted Wed, 09 June 2004 at 2:13 PM

Glamorous Vicki 2 Set for V3 is a morphed figure created by Jim Burton and sold at DAZ. She has a custom shape and Joint Controlled Morphs. In the same sense that V3 clothing without morphing ability won't fit any V3 morphs, no GV's clothes won't necessarily fit a standard V3. I don't have her or any of her products, so I don't know how hard making fits is.
