Subject: what does it take to remap figures?

I know some one did a remap on the Maya Doll to let her take V2 textures. What would it take for Elle, Cindy, Natalia, or Dina to be remapped for Vicki textures as well?

A good UV-mapping utility, Victoria's template for reference purposes, and a lot of patience.

Yes, I know you did it for the Tobi figure (and it's a great improvement over the original). I vaguely recall you mentioning some detail on how you did, on some old thread. It can be easier to re-arrange the texture, as I've done for a couple of free textures.

I didn't really alter Tobi's mapping. In fact, I'm not sure that I touched the mapping at all. I pieced the figure together from parts of Guenevere and Posette, so it has the original mapping from those two meshes.

For the Millennium Catwoman, however, I had to build a new neckpiece, which did require a great deal of work in my UV-mapping utility. I wanted the new upper neck to have the same mapping as the MilCat's neck, so it would blend seamlessly with the mapping on the cat head. I spent two or three days tweaking the UV-coordinates just on that small section of neck.

I contemplated remapping Victoria's entire body to take MilCat textures, but wisely chose not to attempt it. The process would have taken me forever, and there would have been extreme texture distortion anyway due to proportions and other anatomical differences.

When I later replaced the toes with new geometry, I had to map those also, so the UVs lined up with the feet.
