I have my own names for these, but I dunno if their is any. I call these full bends, or that fail half ways, for example: #2 "CrumbleZone", and #1 and 3 "Puffer" or "Puffing". This is Vicky 3, Both V3 and SR1 do the same, but I have encountered worse. Does not only happen on the arms, but also on the legs and other areas. Have these been looked at even talked about? Can these be fixed? I tried everything in the dials, and doesn't get any better. I have a habit of looking at my arm when I work in Poser.

Much is in the eye of the beholder. You can make fine adjustments in the Joint Parameter window by selecting "Apply Bulges" and using the Right/Left, Pos/Neg Dials.

Theoreticly there is probably quite a lot that can be done by the use of joint peramaters and Joint Controled Morphs, but if I had the knolage and skill to do it I woulden't be working on a laminating machine.

Ok..I read up in the manual about this. Is their a tutorial on this type of stuff, or do I have to figure this out myself? Kinda confusing, with these dials. I do not know which X,Y,Z to use and the "Apply Bulges" is already checked. When I do play with the dials, I do not see anything change. Only after I press on the upper right corner "X", then all goes haywire.

This is what, in the past, I have referred to as "rag-doll arms". I've been told that there is no solution to this, but if there is one, I'm all ears.

Also known as the 'Bent Pipe Syndrome'.

That's the way ALL Poser models function, more or less - the only real solution is postwork I'm afraid :o(
Of course JP fiddling and morphs can fix it to a certain extent, but not all the way.

because poser's basic "bend" parameters only cover thefocal point and then a decreasing amount out in the actual surface area, this issue is one that pretty much plagues poser dramatically. It can be fixed. It requires additional joints in the areas being bent, to make it a "smoother" bend. When folks talk about how "bad" poser's rigging system is, what they are really usually saying is the default one and the Vicki/Mike one, both of which are fairly simple rigs, are bad for these sorts of works. A more advanced rigging has occasionally been tried, but they are not always successful commercially. I've long believed that if someone does do a more advanced rigging on a pleasing figure model, and then supports that model with adequate clothing, that they could change the way that sort of thing works. 3 bones for the knees and elbows, btw...

Yes, exactly. Jim Burton did this. But it can be difficult to 'hit', people don't understrand the point really. A major new release would need to have it and establish the concept - let's say GIRL or some such. Would be cool.
