Subject: Maya Doll (Basic files are corrupt)

Hi All, I just discovered the maya doll site and tried downloading the basic files (a couple different times). Each time the ZIP comes down, but it seems to be corrupt. I have a message into the site admin, but no response yet (a lot of japanese text there). I was wondering if anyone else experienced this? I have tried unzipping them using PowerDesk and WinRar and both say they are corrupt. Has anyone actually been able to use these files? Thanks Enivob

I've downloade MayaDoll some time ago with no problems. Have you tried with winzip? How large is your file when it's downloaded? And what kind of connection do you have?

OK I just tried to download it again, and it still opens fine. Here are the file specs... Does your file differ in size from this? (WinXP if other windows-versions count the size differently)

I had that very same problem when I tried getting them a month or so back.
After trying for several days,I finaly got them when I tried at a late night time (around midnite EST).
SWAMP PS Be sure to DL the remapped for Vic2 texture version also....nice.

Maya-san is in hospital, apparently, so you may not get an answer for some time.

hmm..I seem to remember there's 2 versions..one has some sort of 'unlock the eyes' bit with it..I've got both versions loaded, but I tend to render her with her eyes closed a lot..;) keep trying, the free clothes and hair alone make her worth it..;)

hmm i may know what happened.; regardign on your connection sped and the browser you use, Mayas webhos server can be really unforgiving and make a total mess.. most of the time i cannot download from his website; all the zip are halted before end and are corrupt. what i advise is to use another browser or something to directly download them given the url. i use command line Wget win32 port (a linux command line) fed with the url of the file that fails. with a flag to make it retry and resume. all the time i had problem at maya's wbsite, this solution worked for me and all my files are without any problem...

Enivob, you are not getting the entire file I imagine. Sometimes downloads from his site will time out, creating an incomplete zip which will not open. If you use a download program then you will recieve the entire file.

akura: bijouchat made a .uvs file to change mayadoll basic mapping so it could take v2 textures (already could do it for body but head was the real issue) can be found in freebies somewhere
