Subject: Request to restore usability to marketplace Purchase History page. . .

I was just browsing the Product Showcase Forum and saw where a product I'd purchased some time back(Cute Hatchling Poses Updated by katje) has been updated, and I should re-download via my purchase history page. When I clicked thru to my PHP, I discovered it's been hard-coded to display only 20 items per page. Searching back thru 621 purchases at 20 to a page is incredibly laborious and time-consuming. At 20 to a page it'll take clicking thru over 30 pages, pressing F3 over 30 times, and typing in a search term or artist name over 30 times (worst case, of course). PLEASE offer the option to display the entire history on one page as it was before, or at least a reasonable 250 to 500 per page. I use the Purchase History page not only for re-downloading updates, but also to quick-check to see if I've already purchased items required for new products, to see if I've made purchases required for special deals, and to access products for feedback. As it is now, for me, and likely for many like me who shop the RMP often, it's frankly nearly useless. I've seen low-speed access users request the shorter version of the page before and I've always posted my request for an option on the "My Profile" page to select either the short or long version on a user-by-user basis. I'd like to repeat that request: Please restore some degree of practical utility to my Purchase History page by offering the old style as an option. Thanks Jerry B leather-guy

Hi Jerry, I will be working with the programmers in the near future to offer some sort options for the purchase History page. Enabling the PHP to display all previously purchased items is pretty taxing on the system and can cause time outs on your end as well as slow downs to the site over all. I feel that some type of sort options are needed and will work to have these implemented. Clint

Hi Clint I've never had a timeout waiting for the old-style PHP to build and display, though I've often gotten them when doing a search. The page never took more than 18 sec to finish loading. Oddly enough, the 20-to-a-page version takes over 12 seconds per page. Most of the loading time seems to be the overhead of the masthead and page style. A sort option or just a "search purchase history" by keyword or artist function might help. Or, if there's any way to restore the old functionality for a couple of days I could save and archive a copy of the full page on my HardDrive as a document, and just search that. Thanks again for the quick reply! Jerry B ...People may forget what you SAID, People may forget what you DID, People will never forget how you made them FEEL!.....
