Subject: Parse a library .RSR file to extract image?

kuroyume0161 ( ) posted Sun, 20 June 2004 at 11:22 PM · edited Thu, 25 July 2024 at 11:25 PM

Where can I find file format information concerning the .rsr file used by Poser? I see that P3dO Explorer can read and write them; I just need to read them and extract the thumbnail image. So how did they get the file specs? I can't find anything here or online. Thanks, Kuroyume

p3d0 can also write a png file from an rsr

I know. But I'm concerned with getting at the PICT image stored in .rsr files when .png files are not available (programmatically, that is). The .rsr used by Poser in the libraries is a PICT resource file used originally on Macs, but cannot find any information on file format in order to parse. Kuroyume

That is a consideration. Hopefully this doesn't involve exchange of money for information (not with yarp, but for the file spec in general). ;) Kuroyume
