Subject: Wyrmmasters Dynamic Magnet system

Heya, I have VV and am just wondering whats new with wryms new dynamic system at DAZ. Can some one give me a general idea of the remote control system he is using. I am not asking for specifics. Mainly want to know, because I have come up with a control system I call Maggie who can be applied as a conforming cr2 or injected as pz2, and allows for any/all magnets desired to be controlled as if they were morph targets. Just wondering if I am reinventing the wheel here or on to something new. If it is my idea, I do not mind sharing. But if I merely hit on something wrym is doing/selling I don't want to steal his thunder. Thanks in advance

The dynamic magnets are controlled by Remotes, allowing multiple mags to be adjusted with one dial. This system is the best WM has made so far. I am not sure how it works, perhaps a null prop is involved, but it is very easy to use.

What is the set up on his remote? Is is a cr2, a pose file, a prop? What steps are involved in using it?

It's a prop. With pose files for all the mils. Also works on most other figures with same grouping, though I did get them to work on Posette too.

Well, if it is a prop, that it is a bit different than what I came up with. It may even be better than what I came up with as Wrym is the true master here. In the past, he had more info on his web site about his products, but I am not really finding alot on this one. I can not afford to buy it just now to see how what he is doing on his compares to what I am working on. Maybe I can get someone who has WM system to take a look at what I came up with and tell me if they appear similar or if what I am doing is different.

I don't know the technical side of it, but as a consumer I bought it because the set could be used with all adult DAZ people (including M3 - the only mag set I've found for him). William_The_Bloody has just released a universal mag set too. Don't know if WTB's system uses the same remote system.

Yep, my remote system is the same. shadownet, I've got an inexpensive product in the marketplace called "Universal Head Shop" which is a small set but will illustrate how it's all done, both in mine and Wyrmmasters products, in a general way. I won't speak for Wyrmmaster, but as for myself, I'm comfortable with the ideas of capitalism, free market and competition. If you've got a good product, put it out there :) The magnet set days are (IMO) over due to the universal-ness of my final set. Unless someone comes along and makes them even easier to use. -WTB

That WTB, I will take a look at your product. I have your mag set for Stephanie Petite and it is great! My system uses a conforming figure, and is meant more to be used on clothing than on the figure itself - all though it can be used on both if desired. Actually, I have a number of uses for Maggie that lead up to the idea, but I am finding that it works really great for fitting clothing to the morphs that come with V3 and is easily adaptable to work on other figures. What I have now is mostly just a stripped down working model that proves my concept sound. I have not got the time at the moment to develope it further, so it is on hold. I had thought about maybe finding someone to work with me on it - but first I wanted to make sure I was not reinventing the wheel. If what I am doing is original, that I would like to take credit for it. However, if I am just doing something that someone else has already hit upon, then I do not need to try to steal their thunder or kid myself by acting like I am so clever, when I am a day late and a dollar short. LOL

If you like, I'll take a look at it and give you my big sweaty pompous opinion lol
