Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 25 9:50 pm)
It's my understanding that HAIR produces lines, not faces so there is nothing there to render. I have a program that will convert a HAIR produced object into a real live renderable mesh, or spheres.
Found it... DropMaker, my computer barely ran Poser when I got this, might be worth another look.
For those who don't know, just select an object and type in " HAIR ". Don't ask me what to do next, I never really used it. Just checked to make sure thats how it work, got about 8 great ideas from a furry ball.
"Do I remember rightly, that when CL bought Poser they didn't know about HAIR until someone from Renderosity told them?" The original functionwas added into the code in Poser 4 during the metacreations days. Since CL was comprised of prinicpally the same folks who did that work, it's sorta hard to think of them not knowing about something they added. However, this was not something that had been developed out yet, and it's possible the original roadmap was lost. However: The Community itself didn't know about this feature until it was explored and partially exploited by the above tool and its' creator.
thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)

I was mucking around in Poser (pro pack) when I thought I would play around with the 'HAIR' generation thing. Well, it's pretty basic, and I won't really be using it but when I tried to render it, it wouldn't. It only rendered in the sketch render. Anyone know why?
