That is flippin amazing!! I downloaded the arm and was very impressed with the boolean modeling. Is all the extra bits boolean too? If that breast plate is boolean then that is absolutley amazing. Even if it was modeled in a separate app. its still amazing, way more advanced than anything I could do. Setting a whole new stardard for bryce. How about FPBbot, Fully Poseable Bryce bot, for a name.

You really are a genius! I have a feeling you'll be finished in less than a year. By the time you're finished you will have both grown from the experience. Which leads me to the name. How about "Symbiotica"? During her constuction you will have a symbiotic relationship of sorts. Call her "Symbi" for short? Persevere.

That is WAY COOL!

Far out vasquez. Absolutely amazingly excellent modeling you are doing to be sure. No doubt about it. 8)

Gotta love that spinal column.

I eat babies.

vasquez ( ) posted Sun, 27 June 2004 at 5:15 AM

@Twisted: it's 34Mb now.. (14 zipped) maybe it is hard to be emailed.. Bjork could be a nice name and an homage to the most beautiful video ever done @ibass: yes it is all boolean (the only way I can modelling) lot of things have to be finetuned... @matrixmode: symbiotica! well at least I'm having a symbiotic relationship with my Poang (IKEA chair) LOL. thank again for the response... the funny thing is that all started as secondary part of another image... another question: will DAZ sell Bryce objects? maybe I can sell her (off course you'll recieve it free :o) ) cheers Simon

Serious question........I d/Ld the arm and I want to turn it so that the shoulder ball sits on the floor. I can move the whole thing around and re-pos the joints, but I can't up-end it. Why? Names: Robotica, Robertica, Dorothy Droid, Plugin-Penny, Bjorg, Cynthia-Cyborg, Hydrolica, Dollymech, Cybertica, Hissing-Hilda, Penelamech, Droidella..... This is facinating stuff BTW. Who needs poser, when Vas can create this stuff? Let's face it, this will be easier to .mat than a Poser 5 character. It took me months to figure out how to in P5. My thanks and congratulations to Vasquez!

Bryster, if there are no bug during exporting the arm (except the piston) if you select the arm (not the shoulder), use the ojects coordinate system, you should be able to sit the shouder on the floor... (even if I don't know what "sitting a shoulder" means)

Vasquez: Thanks! You did it! I wanted it to look like it is resting on a work bench thingy. ;-)

Can we call it MoonGoat's Fury? Just a thought ...

catlin_mc ( ) posted Sun, 27 June 2004 at 2:41 PM

Bryce always does that to it's followers, at some point they always go loopy. Just keep taking the medication vasquez and everything will be fine. lol 8) Catlin

diolma ( ) posted Sun, 27 June 2004 at 5:29 PM

Just a thought.. How about "Brybot"? Cheers, Diolma (and no, it's NOT my fault - I'm just watching and waiting..) :-)

AgentSmith ( ) posted Sun, 27 June 2004 at 10:37 PM

Dare you to call her "Susy K", lol...

Whoa, I thought the arm was good, but that torso is awesome. I can't wait to see the rest of the bot. IMO, I think for the head, you should have some glowing eyes, that would be sweet.

Rayraz ( ) posted Mon, 28 June 2004 at 5:34 AM

great!!! can't wait to see her finished! :D I suggest you call her "Lilly" :)

catlin_mc ( ) posted Mon, 28 June 2004 at 10:39 AM

On looking at this again it reminds me of the Bryce models Humorix(sp) used to make. The sort of models that make viewers say, "what! you made this in Bryce". You know that one Rayraz....... This is a fantastic task you've set yourself vasquez but I think she will be the SUPREME being when you've got her finished. Power to your Brycing dear. 8) Catlin

vasquez ( ) posted Mon, 28 June 2004 at 5:16 PM

ahhhh Humorix..... how much I miss him! thank you guys! lil update: the spine is moving with a single click... and it's moving quite good :o)))) but more kinematics becames complex more Bryce is doing what he will, tracking is not a strong feature of that little program. I have to add a lot of escamotages, but it's growing... She has also a heart now (oh well is a gyroscope, but it's in the torso)... I'll keep you informed.

bikermouse ( ) posted Tue, 29 June 2004 at 12:43 AM

He'll be bock! Humorix is the one who finally got me to take a good look at multi-replication and paths.

catlin_mc ( ) posted Tue, 29 June 2004 at 6:50 PM

His multi-replication always looked like a nightmare to do, although he always said it wasn't that difficult to achieve. I just wish I had a little more patience. 8)
