Hi Folks! I've done a lot of "talking" lately but no posting--so here is a quick sketch I did to update the Image of the Week at my web site. The light direction is all wrong, but I kept it for dramatic effect. The headstones are by -3-; the obelisk and cloak are by me. The background is of course a Bryce scene. I don't think this image has adult or violence content, so I didn't note it as such. I apologize in advance if anyone disagrees. Your comments are welcome. Peter (Dr Zik)

You're right that it's not Lestat - it brings to MY mind the images Clyde Caldwell did for the old TSR Ravenloft setting - the colors aren't the same, the background is plainer, but the poses and the girl look a LOT like Strahd Von Zarovich and his victim (though in the Caldwell painting I THINK she was blonde and wearing a filmy, see-through gown...)... On a more technical note, you might want to rotate his right hand up a little, or move her legs down a bit; it looks like she's floating about two inches above his hand...

Hi Folks! Thanx for the advice, CB. I won't post a revised image, but I'll fix the original. Peter (dr Zik)

If you are trying for Lestat, you have a good start. I just finished reading the Vampire Lestat yesterday. I think that Tom Cruise did a good job in the movie Interview with a Vampire of portraying Lestat. He tried very, very hard to please Anne Rice and succeeded. So you could go rent the movie for some help. Lestat is a blond, so using Allie's Transmapped curls would do wonders for the figure (I know it's hard to find now but you can get it at Fairywoods if you download the Barbarella figure and trust me it can be fitted to the Poser male, I've done it). He is also extremely beautiful, almost androgynous and blue eyed. What I see of the face up there is a good start in that direction. Don't think Lestat would wear a tux, but where in Poserdom can you find 18th Century male clothing? You could try the poets shirt and pants from Poser World as a start (hint, make the shirt partically transparent)unfortunately this shirt has no ruffles and frills as Lestat liked. Hi Folks! Thanx for all the observations, Liz. Originally my vamp character was nameless, but after I did a test render of the scene I immediately thought of Tom Cruise's film version of Lestat. I've been a big Ann Rice fan since reading IWTV 25 years ago, and being a New Orleans native is another connection. If I can find the time I'll try another version that reflects the great suggestions y'all have made. Peter (Dr Zik)

I just thought of something. I think there is a frilly shirt. At Fairywoods under the Talented Friends, there is a Pirate figure called Flik. I believe that his costume (or at least the shirt part of it) has frills and nice cuffs. Must not forget that Lestat is a bit vain. Also I did cooked up a nice light setting in Poser that looks like moonlight if you are interested, e-mail me at: drmspinner@earthlink.net
