Subject: Poser to LightWave

I'm attempting to open obj Poser morph targets into LightWave 5.6 for Mac. I get a "reading failed" message, after which the POINTS of the object appear, minus the polygons! LightWave tech support doesn't know what's happening, and speculates only that the obj files contain information unreadable in LW. So now I'm looking for Poser body parts (for Victoria only, at the moment) which WILL open in LightWave and then morph successfully in Poser 4. Does anyone have such files? If not, does anyone have an explanation for this problem, or a suggestion? Sorry if this is more of a LW question than a Poser question. But there may be something unique to Poser files that's causing the trouble, and I though someone might know what it is.

Many morph targets are distributed with points only. This saves file size and also protects copyrights. Most of the Victoria morphs are like this, otherwise you could collect enough morphs, glue them back together, and get Vic for free. You'll need to apply the morph to the actual figure, export it, and use that file.

Ah, that's it! Thanks! However, I'm having trouble EXPORTING the darn body parts individually, which is why I'm using the pre-exported morph targets to begin with. I'll work on that one! Still, I'm VERY relieved to learn that there's no problem with either of my programs!

Do you have the patch applied? The shipped version had major problems with exports.

I believe I have the current version, but I'll check.
