I've been inpired by Drac's excellent freebies he's been creating lately, particularly the "Croupier". Since he hasn't had time to write a tut, I decided to see what I could do using these two apps alone for the texturing. I am also texture mappping a version , but this shows that you can a pretty good of texturing right in Bryce.

Nice job!

nice simple work, now all you need is a vast city scape full of rush hour commuting air traffic...

Looks really good, pretty cool license plate

There are a lot of things worse than dying, being afraid all the time would be one.

Freebie, freebie, freebie - please!

Pass no temptation lightly by, for one never knows when it may pass again!

danamo ( ) posted Thu, 08 July 2004 at 2:49 PM

Wow, thanks guys! I'm glad that so many of you liked it. And since some nice folks have asked for it to be a freebie, I will try to figure out how to host it and make it available pending AS's seal of approval. Would obp. file format be acceptable? I've never put up a freebie before and not 'cause I'm stingey( I just am tech-challenged in some areas of the computer as yet, lol) I'm designing some buses and police cars too and will offer them as well. Thanks again for the feedback.

derjimi ( ) posted Thu, 08 July 2004 at 3:02 PM

Danamo, if you need help to host it - please contact me. :-) J.

Nice taxi. Why is this thread OT though?

danamo ( ) posted Thu, 08 July 2004 at 4:43 PM

Thanks derjimi! I really appreciate it. :-) @jasonmit-lol, I guess I felt a little "defensive" about posting a WIP showing a model I made in Wings in the Bryce Forum, even if I textured it fully in Bryce. I'm hoping that the next full upgrade to Bryce will have more modeling tools, or will be able to export booleaned models to other apps.

Where's the hole in the roof from the "big bada boom"? Just kidding, Great job!

Didn't you know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. That's why eyedrops and rose-colored glasses are needed.

Danamo, don't worry - I'm postings pics of things not modelled in Bryce here all the time... ;-) J.

Lol,thanks bikermouse for your help in the IM earlier ! I will try to cobble together a downloads page tomorrow and make arrangements with derjimi about his generous offer of hosting.
P.S. a "bigbaddaboom" eh? Maybe I should install one. Thanks for the idea. My next challenge after that will be to make the "gull wing" doors open, detail the interior, and make the retractable landing struts work, maybe with the idea of making it a free posable.
