Here's my cat, Sadly departed. He fell in love with our dog and treated her like it's mum. Slept with it, played with it and when the dog died he just moped around and we think he died of a broken heart. :-(

The reason he has his leg stretched out is cause he broke it when he was a kitten and has pins in it. He can bend it, but he seems more comfortable like this.

Oh here's a cute story about my cats. We got two, brother and sister. Each had a marking on their forehead, the boy an M (you can just make it out above) and the girl a W. The brother we called Mullberry and the sister was Willow (she was killed at about a year old by a maniac driver).

Nukeboy ( ) posted Fri, 09 July 2004 at 11:52 AM

@bazze: just too cute... @captor213: Looks like a Russian as well. Too bad about his eye, just as long as he feels no pain, poor little bugger.

pogmahone ( ) posted Fri, 09 July 2004 at 12:30 PM

Nukeboy ( ) posted Fri, 09 July 2004 at 12:48 PM

@pogmahone: no question! We've two cats, Bonnie (of Bonnie and Clyde) and Ivan (the Terrible) and they absolutely would not be caught dead next to each other...

Colette1 ( ) posted Fri, 09 July 2004 at 2:45 PM

Smack is also a Russian Blue...no wonder they look alike. I agree that Bazze would have won. That is a really cute photo of all 6 cats in one place. Smack gets along with both Hidey and Nala, but Hidey and Nala have finally after 2 years agreed to ignore each other. None of them would ever sleep together though. They each have their own places. Smacks is usually right underfoot, wherever I am...LOL

Can't believe how many cats around here. I think we should run a Renderosity-wide survey, although I suspect that cats would win hands down. :-) Pity I don't have a picture of my cat. He disappeared more than a year ago. He looked like Agent Smith's. And also liked to be beside the computer. :-)

Thats quite of a collection here. Bazze got the coolest pic, but damn, Drawbridgep, thats a sad story. And some people say cats doesnt get attached to other creatures. Yeah, right! Im with Erlik here, i also have the feeling that most people here are cat owners. Nothing wrong with other animals though, theyre always cute as hell. :)

Hey, a tortie! Are they as crazy as they are said to be? Unfortunately, not everybody shares our opinion. My girlfriend says she don't want me to find a new cat, cause instead of her, the cat would be cuddling up to me. :-)

Well, it seems obvious, us Brycers love our cats and our booze! (See Drac's thread about the latter.) We had a couple of bad years with our cats. One, Marie (17 years), we had to put down due to skin cancer, her son, Bert (named for Bert Lahr- the Cowardly Lion in the Wizard of Oz) was killed a year later by a raccoon. Our most favorite cat, Rocky, just disappeared. He was a huge "Slyvester" looking cat. The only thing that could of taken him would be a Mountain Lion, and we have plenty of those.

Here's Soni. She's a "muted" tortie but she can hear just fine. ;) lol Before I adopted her she lived in a house with four big dogs. She'd pester them till they all chased her and then she jumped on the fence and stare down at them meowing and licking her paw. She actually loved those dogs. I have a picture somewhere of her and these four dogs all passed out together in the afternoon sun. She even snacked on their Beggin Strips treats with them. lol. Oh the stories I could tell... Never met a cat I didn't like. Gotta find some pics of my girlfriends cats, Mooky and Cali. Brb...

His name is Booboo (short for booboo monster) because he is a monster to all the local wildlife :o( He's living proof that killing abilities are instinctive, not taught - my daughter found him in the street as a tiny abandoned kitten, covered in diarrhoia(sp?). He spent two months locked in a basement being nursed back to health, and shows his gratitude by killing anything that crosses his path. Bells mysteriously disappear from round his neck within a week.
