I'm looking for goggles for M3 much like the ones from Splinter Cell the game, anybody know if such an item exists? :D Here are 2 pics.

If you don't find them I could model them (for regular mike - I don't have m3) in Lightwave

Thanks, that would be nice. I suppose I could try fit it to M3. :D

Those goggles show the big flaw in early-generation NVDs. The green glow of the phosphor screen was so bright that it was easy for a sniper to target the glow, using only a conventional rifle-scope or iron sights.

Lol yeah, I always wondered why the bad guys could never see me while I hid in the dark, cause they surely would have with the 3 glowing dots. :)

I believe the closest thing are the ANVIS-6 goggles. The green glow is on the users side. They use a phosphor like TVs use but it has the characteristic green glow. No light comes out the front.

While sort of close to your request RuntimeDNA has the Shadow Ops head set pack for $5.00. Only has 2 eye green not 3 but you could prob fake it if ya got it, it's also for M3 out of the box.

Night goggles are very overrated... of course you can see in the dark, but your sesne of depths is completely fucked up. For those interested in funny anecdotes, check the "drug dealer in a very fast car, using night goggles" urban legend at snopes.com A real peace of fun :)

I think the glow of the goggles was for you, the player of Sam, to know just where he was in those really dark spots of the game. There really is no visible light or even any glow on the real things. The center node is where the IR light is emitted, much like a flashlight, so Sam can 'see' with them. These are essentually passive, and require the 3rd node to actively emit an IR light source. I am totally interested in these goggles as well. And, for M2 is just fine! I actually prefer M2 to M3 anyway.

I've started a new thread on this, as this is getting pushed way down the screen. I've started modeling these. go check the wip's and give feed back. I'm fitting them to Michael as I don't own the other models. I do have V2, and when the Mike ones are done, I'll try a retro fit.
