Subject: Need a little help.

Every time I try to use a character(that I downloaded not made), it asks for the .obj file. Thing is that every character I download doesn't come with one. I have some experience with wavefront objects. Am I missing somthing or what? Thanks

the items you have downloaded must be addons/textures for the original item aka the obj.. what is the character your trying to use?? more info needed to help you netta

Open the character file (.cr2) in wordpad and have a look at the line stat has the path to the geomtry file. This should tell you where it is looking for the OBJ file.
