Subject: Saving JPEG's as PSDs...

avatarrendo.gif I save Jpegs as Jpegs and they lose quality, does saving as a PSD eliminate that?

yes every time you save a file in a jpg format you compress it more. so if you continue to do this to a file you will eventually have a lousy image. it's best to work in, and save, your work in PS's native file format (PSD) and save as a jpg only at the end of your work (and always as a "save as") keeping your original PSD file as well.
