well i'm managing just fine with my new baby. it' sa poser question - i should be able to figure this out for myself but for some reason i'm having huge problems. i have a gun figure and a separate prop -the daz copbelt which is all one prop without separate parts. i have a v3 in a catsuit. whats the best way to keep the gun iattached n the holster attached to the v3 +/ or suit? so when i change the pose they all stay together. love esther

well, just to get the ball rolling, I presume you initially tried parenting the gun to the belt, then parenting the belt to the figure's hip?

just tried it and the gun has disappeared. It's a figure remember - so shouldn't things be parented to it rather than vice versa? Or maybe I should have parented part of it to the belt? Love esther

Disappearing most likely means that it has simply been translated or scaled relative to its new parent. After Parenting, are the TRANS values for the gun's BODY, and whatever part serves as a HIP, zeroed out. That should bring it back to the belt. (might be less confusing to do this prior to parenting the belt to its parent figure) If it still doesn't show up, also make sure the scale is not way out of wack. ...and yes, figures are routinely parented to props.

YES! And the good thing is that now when I pose the gun it's easy. Before, every time I tried to rotate it it went over a huge arc. Now it moves on the same axis as the holster. Thank you so much! Love esther
