Subject: UI question I've been meaning to ask for ages

Is there any way of making the library window stay put once it's been opened?

I'd like it to stay where it is during a Poser session, and for the setting to be remembered. It's probably the window I use more than any other, but it also seems it's one of the parts of the UI that can't be configured in this way.

Using UI dots and preferred state settings don't seem to do the trick; is there a way round this?

TIA.

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you talking about the folders Library on the right of the screen? This is the one part of the Poser UI that CAN'T be moved at all. If yours moves, something weird's going on. mac

Yes, I mean the Folders library - I wasn't sure excatly what to call it.

It's not moving around the workspace; what I'm after is a way to turn off its autohiding behaviour (to use Windows toolbar parlance) so that it's always visible and available on the right hand side, rather than hiding and tucking away at odd moments.

Ah, I see what you mean. Sorry, but there's no way to change it's behaviour in the slightest. It's something that annoys the hell out of me, so I sympathise. I'm one of these people Bill Gates doesn't like. I believe that when I tell software to do something, it shouldn't go of and do other things I didn't tell it to do. Poser will autohide the library whenever you click anywhere in the workspace. And when you open a new document, it closes it altogether. Very annoying, but incurable by any means known to man. mac
