Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 09 3:46 am)
Wow..that is great. And also added to favorites. I did the animation tutorial, but instead of a box, I used the rubber ducky freebie. After getting the feel of understanding how to do animations. I got carried away with the rubber ducky..hehe. Very kewl stuff. One Question: With the Loop Interpolation. How would I get that to use that on tires rotating on a car. I now understand what Loop Interpolation is now. Just not good at working on it. Wondering about that for a future project.
One Answer: (hopefully) ;=]
Anything that rotates must go 360 degrees to make one full revolution ... at which point it repeats the action (i.e., animation).
Actually, you don't want it to loop on 360 degrees because 360 is the same as 0 degrees (frame 1).
If you loop on 360, you may get a "hiccough," a slight pause, or a small "jerk" (like NaySayGuy) when the animation makes the transition from the last frame back to the first frame.
Lets try this ...
If you have 30 frames, you want the wheel to rotate 1/30 (of 360 degrees) per frame, right?
360 (degrees) divided by 30 (frames) equals 3 degrees per frame.
( 360/30 = 3 )
So at frame 1, we are at 0 degrees, frame 2 at 3 degrees, frame 3 at 6 degrees, etc.
But ... you don't need to specify each frame. Poser will take care of that.
Just set the last frame to 357 degrees (i.e., 360 degrees minus 3 degrees) and then, when the animation loops from frame 30 back to frame 1, the wheel will go from 357 degrees back to 0 degrees (which is the same as 360 degrees) and the animation will loop smoothly.
Ok?
I hope you took notes ... there will be a quiz later. ;=]

Anyone know where or if their is a tutorial for Poser 5 animations? Cam, walking, and other. Does Poser only go up to 999 frames?
