Hello Everyone,

Im looking for M3 Gauntlets. Ive searched the message history for this forum, and it looks like a subject thats come up often but not really been resolved?

What I wanted ultimately was a full set of metal armor gauntlets, full finger wraparound with articulated finger joints, full back of hand plate, and a conical wrist/armpiece going about halfway up the arm, and wide enough to fit over various existing forearm pieces.

The Valandar Don armor has what appears to be an awesome gauntlet but I dunno how to make it an M3 PPP item.

I checked out the DAZ freebie falconry gear but it wont conform to M3 (see pic) This actually would be a wonderful M3 item, if a guantlet in this style without the cord around the wrist were available. I had thought I could apply a chainmail texture to the gauntlet for starters, and then maybe try to make armor pieces for it in wings, except that the conforming issue and the wrist cord stopped me. But then I havent any idea how I would subsequently texture, make it a conforming prop, etc etc. I think thats something a bit more down the road for me in my poser career : Ive got 3D studio Max but all ive ever done with that is open it, stare at the default screen, then collapse into a fetal position to usually be found hours later by friends. They claim to have discovered me to be whimpering on these occasions but im not sure if I buy that or not.

Anyhow, anyone ever seen a large leathern or metal gauntlet like this falconry piece but conformable to M3?

thanks for reading,

Logan

Hello igohigh :) Visual Silence armor is wonderful, and ive had it for some time :) Thing is, I was hoping for something to match with the Gothic Armor or any others that come along. Here is an example of the VS hand items on M3 with the GA forearm piece

note how it just doesnt match the other armor type?

This is why I was hoping for half a forearm in a nice big conical shape :

Thank you for the suggestion though, your taste in armor is obviously very refined :)

Do you mean the color? Just use the same reflection on both parts, VS's glove plates shouldn't be black like that?? or - what about using VS's forearm part? Other then that the only Gauntlets I know of are for M2 by Serrge and I don't think their availible anymore :( I haven't seen Serrge around in a while, he made some mighty fine armor!

logansfury, if you have the following software you should be able to do what you want with the Falconry glove: UVMapper Pro version, get rid of the cords. Clothing Converter, fit to M3. Image editing software, re-texture glove NOTE, this is work and somewhat time consuming.

I must remember to remember what it was I had to remember.
