Hi all ! I have a scene, where always after opening again all lights are gone. Means i have to choose them again from the Parameter Dials and then they are visible and working, but when i safe the scene and re-open it it's the same again. The lights are not off.. but just not emitting lights... Can anybody help ?

Hmm, hard to say for sure. You could have picked up a glitch, and this is causing the light info not to save correctly. Have you tried saving the scene to a new file, er, after you reselect the lights and have them working again? You might also try using the Memorize>Lights command (when the lights are working right) then when you save your scene and open it again, if the lights do not appear to be working, try the Restore>Lights command and see if that works. Another thing that is possible. Are you using the Point At command for the lights? Select one of the lights and look at the dials, see if there is one called Point At. If so, is it set to 0 or 1. O is off. 1 is on. if it is a value in between, ie. 0.5 or something, this may be part of the problem. Have you tried saving the light set up (when it is working right) to the Poser Light Library. Then delete each light in your scene. When all lights have been deleted. Reload the lights from the Library and see if this fixes the problem. Also, when you say the lights are not emitting lights. What do you mean. Have you tried rendering the scene this way, if so what happens. If it comes out all dark. Check your Render options. See if cast shadows is checked. If it is, uncheck it and render again. Did it show up okay this time? If so, than the problem may be something in your scene is casting a shadow that is blacking out your scene when rendered. For example, if you have your figures inside a building, even though you can see them okay with the camera the building prop may be casting shadows that make everything dark. A little guess work and you should be able to figure out what this is, select it, and open the object properties editor. Uncheck the cast shadow for that item. Turn Cast Shadow back on for the Render options and render again. Or, if your figures are inside an object, like a building, it may be that one of the walls you are looking through with the camera is blocking out the scene when you render. Normally, you would be able to tell that there is something there getting in the way, but maybe not if it was a dark object. Again, hard to say for sure what is happening without more information on your problem.

Thanks for all the Hints - but i already tried each of them. It must be something strange while saving i think - some Lights point at, but they are set to 0 or 1, if i render like this it's all black and my figures are not in a building or so... And I already saved the Lights, deleted them and re-loaded them. And i tried to save the File under another name - what else can i do ? I mean, there are only 5 lights, so it's not so heavy to choose them again after re-loading the File, but it's anyway a strange behaviour...

File>new, File>open(your file). If you skip that 1st step, lots can go wrong. Missing lights on my pc means the file got corrupted during a crash. Safest thing is to copy props and characters to library and start fresh with a new workwindow. Screwups are memorized too and can mess with you forever.

I see - as there are a lot of props i think i continue with it till the scene changes... it's part of a comix and i need the scene only for the first 4 or 5 pix - big THX ! (The pix is posted in the gallery - "the story of johnny 001") ... and u were right - it was a stalled firefly-attempt.
