Subject: Vue, Poser 4 and Poser 5

It is looking to me very much that Vue has problems when both Poser 4 and Poser 5 are installed on the same machine. Assuming Poser 4 was installed first (duh) it seems that when Vue tries to import a pz3 that was saved in Poser 5, it looks for the support files in the Poser 4 directory, and fails to import properly if it can't find them, either because they were only installed in Poser 4 or (as is very likely) the P5 hierarchy is different from the P4 one. Somewhere, Vue must be reading the location of Poser files and looking there and only there. But where does it read it from? I can't find a vue.ini and there isn't an obvious pointer in the Windows registry. Does anyone know the answer to this?

I had a problem like this at first, but installing the latest patch for Vue fixed it.

You might check the backroom resources in the forum, I know this topic has come up before, I just can't remember what the answer was off the top of my head.

In Vue Pro you set the Poser 4/5 link by clicking File, Options, General Preferences, Setup Poser Import.

But I don't think this works in Vue basic. I'll look for a patch. I tried the backroom, but can't find anything relevant there.
