"If anyone knows where I can find a monster made of shadowslime bubbles, with mouths and claws and such grasping out of each bubble, let me know." That is a description of a shadow vampire, a kind of vampire creature from the shadow realms, close to a slime mold in character (some of those are huge, over fifty sexes), swallowing everything, even the substance of the world if they hunger enough.
