I am new to VUE. What are MTL files? Where do you put them in VUE --or do you use them in VUE.

MTL is the "material" configuration file for the Obj format... if your work only with Vue and with the vue-objects you don't have to use MTL files...

mtl files go only together with obj files. They are related. If you import obj files and they are there, it is important because they contain the material/textures information. But only then they are needed, as Luca said it already. You can open them in a text editor (or Word) for example and see what is in there. If you are nosy.
