If I was going for a black and white image, I'd probably start by converting the color maps in the Material Editor to grey, black or white.
Then the lights and material highlights would have to be set to remove any signs of color.
Haze, fog, and ambient light might also have to be changed to remove color.
You can also play with the 'Contrast' percent under 'Effects' tab in the Material Editor in order to get sharper edges of silhouettes for the black and white objects.
If you reduce the number of materials in a scene, the scene will use less memory.

Some images I have seen are in black & white, Is there an easy way of doing this in VueD 4.22, ie no postwork, and if so does the absence of colours use less resources?
