Subject: More diverse Poser Characters...

turtlejim ( ) posted Tue, 10 August 2004 at 10:34 AM · edited Sun, 23 February 2025 at 11:21 PM

Once again I am asked to create more Divesity content for our client. This time I need to add a Poser character in a wheelchair and animate them rolling along. (Walk designer not needed). I am about to create the wheelchiar in TrueSpace and Poser it in. However if one of you found a Poser wheelchair already in the marketplace then by all means let me know freebie or otherwise. Once I get my chair fixed out I will see about putting it out as a freebie. Thanks

Actually I'd love to see a wheelchair and this way I could create a fat guy and put him in it and name him, ME :) I'm in a chair.

There was also one in freestuff that was fully animated and was originally created for use in a video to show folks how to use one...

Wow! Cool chair. Looks like one they use to race with. I might consider buying it. Thanks for the link. But I might have to create one suited for day-to-day use. My best friend is in a chair. Daily use over the years really made it look weathered out. It is also more box-like in design. May also have to make one that is electric powered and other items physically challenged people use. I need the modeling practice anyway.

3D Cafe has one in 3DS format that you can import and use. It's really nice. It's in the General section. Sorry about the bad posing in the pic.

ziggie has 2 GREAT (and I mean GREAT) wheelchairs in free stuff, they're available at the link above. Don't be fooled by the fact that they're made for the mill. kids, it is VERY easy to scale it up, I've used it with Vickie with no problems. It also comes with Poses as far as I remember. They're fully poseable. And the price can not be beaten!

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

You should be able to animate the wheelie I made... cos just about all parts are moveable/adjustable. If you decide to take it for a spin and need any help... let me know. ziggie

Hmm I've never heard that this wheelie was made for a video? or do I misunderstand you, ynsaen? Or what have you been hiding for me, ziggie?! ;o)
