Subject: Stupit Question : Smart Pose ??

Hello I know it is possible to make MAT Poses who set only the textures/colors of an object. Is it possible to make a SMART POSE who only sets the "smart part" of a smart prop ? What I have in mind : I have my own poser characters (robots). If I make a new prop and save it as smart prop it works perfectly. A gun is still in the hand after I reload it. But it works only for this character. If I use this smart-prop on another character it is not set right maybe because the geometry is very different. Now I am serching for an easy way to re-set the prop / character reference. Can something like a "smart pose" be done ? Or should I make different smart-props who share the same external geometry maybe ?

Assuming a "smart pose" is possible, the user will first need to load the prop, remember that a smart pose is available for it, search and find that pose, then apply it. If you create a separate smart prop for each figure referencing the same external geometry the user will see immediatly which one to load and it will work without extra adjustment. That is the route I would choose.

Its a bit like having a MAT pose to change one material colour. Sometimes the labour saving device creates more work :)

I agree. But still I wonder if it is possible ....
