I still use Steph1 and Dave71 has a wonderful outfit and character here for her called Talyon. The link is to one of my images using her and the outfit. And I purchased extra textures for it as well, makes it even more useful. He also has another lovely character and outfit at RDNA called Willow for Steph1 and Aiko. Link below. Both outfits also fit Aiko.http://www.runtimedna.com/catalog.ez?ShowProduct=DR%2D002&TopElement=0 Here is the link for Talyon. http://market.renderosity.com/softgood.ez?ViewSoftgood=14742

FlyByNight
I also checked out your render, and its beautiful. It immediately made me think of Sword & Sorcery bookcover scenes from artists like Boris Vallejo. Looks more like a painting than a render, I cant believe it :)
I actually checked my Steph documentation and discovered that she is claimed to take Vicki 1 hair and clothing, so I played around with the changing fantasy suit and while it isnt a perfect fit, I was able to dial it to look reasonably cool (fer a noob anyhow). Still needs postwork to eliminate pokethru I think, I havent been able to eliminate the bands of flesh showing just above the ankles and at the shoulder, but ive got a basic figure/hair/clothing mix to play with now. She isnt fancy, but she aint nekkid so I can render her out in public while waiting to get some more exotic costume pieces ;)
Thank you for the links, see above for a quick look at the costume made from items I had in my runtime already.....
Logan
The right shin 1% taper eliminated pokethru, the left kept showing pokethru at 5% so I got impatient and spun the dials to 10% taper and the pokethru is gone. Ill slowly reduce that taper back.
Ive now also adjusted the hair, eyes, and given a hint of the custom Handspan Elf smile.
Looks like the last bit of annoying pokethru (from this angle anyhow, I cant seem to get proper back and side clothing placement without destroying the front view) is at the left shoulder, a little sliver of flesh poking thru between her breast and shoulder.
Any suggesstions how to eliminate this, or does it look like a postwork-necessary fix?
Thanks,
Logan
What beautiful examples, thank you for the pics :) Willow looks REALLY cool, Ill have to look into that.
There really is something special to the old models isnt there? Posette is very leggy! Ive tons of the old stuff to work with for the first time, as I let poser and all kinds of sword and sorcery fantasy items sit uninstalled on my system for a looooooooooong time (knew id get around to it eventually.....)
Heres something to chuckle at, think this was my 3rd or 4th render. I stumbled across Nerd3D's free mail and it made me think of doing this render right away. Doesnt have quite the look of either REH's or Marvel Comic's Red Sonja, but at the time I was just happy to complete a render from start to finish without hurting myself. I did the postwork text in adobe so my poser coach would know what I had worked with when he checked out the render to confirm I hadnt caused collateral damages.

Marque, You're fine... just answering a question to help another artist! Logan, Remember that you can paint the legs woodsy green or brown so that she'll look like she's wearing hose. That was an old trick for stockings. This will also help with the poke-through problem. I bought a Period Gown (Chimeraware?) and Traveler's Garb Pack back then, too, and made the skirt invisible. That way my adventurers weren't flashing pale tummys at every slavering monster in the woods. Carolly

yup. PhilC did that to make chain mail to go under the plate worn by his Lady Knight (Posette-based). I think Gorodin gave us some free chain and scale mail textures for that sort of application. Daio's MATs for M2 and V2 in the marketplace here come in colors, but are basically "metallic skin". You may wish to go to Morphworld and check out Traveler's tutes. He has a couple on using reflection maps, with samples. If your scale mail is a neutral grey with a hint of monochromatic noise and the reflection map carries a bit of color, it should look pretty good. Add a bump map and she ought to be able to fend off the vilest of ne'er-do-wells.well serendipity just ROCKS :) Carolly ive hit the link you provided, and this caught my eye: Extracting Morphs with Compose A short and sweet step by step on how to extract a poser morph target from a .cr2 or .pz3 file for use with other characters. Now im goin nuts trying to fit clothes to this beautiful character, and I note that on her Body and Hip Dials that she has a setting called Elf thats set to 1. The clothes that im being emasculated by are located under Library>Figures so does this mean I can put this elf morph into the skirt im workin with and have it dial to fit? Is this possible and proper use of Compose? I would be altering a garment only for my own use in sloppy newbie-style excuses for renders, not for any redistribution of any kind. Logan
Logan, You can do almost anything with this stuff for your own use. I'm a bit worried that the Elf dial on the body covers more than one target (FBM or PBM)... so you'll just have to experiment and see how it works. EnglishBob, EdW, and Steve at PoserWorld have all made clothes for her. There was a quicksuit at PoserStyle, too (which might help with leggings). If you run into problems transferring morphs, ask Traveler for help, or check with these guys. They would probably have seen that problem before and defeated it. Carolly
Hiya Again :) Your suspicions were correct im afraid. I was a bit hesitant of installing the Java runtime on my sys to work with Compose, so I turned to MorphManager. The program acted as if everything went successfully, but unfortunately when I brought the edited garment inworld the Morph hadnt successfully added. At this point im going to dash off laughing hysterically to PoserWorld and poke search the three artists youve mentioned! Thanks for the help, you rock Carolly :) Logan

Hello, Im looking for female warrior/archer style clothing for Stephanie 1, specifically for the Handspan Studios Elf characer based on S1. Does anyone have any suggestions of items I might check out? I was thinking green and leather clothing, maybe some bikini style chainmail. Is there any of this for S1, or is most of whats out there for V3? Thanks for reading, Logan
