lol I took the pictures from 4 feet three inches.. That's not how tall I am but that's where the camera was placed.. mid way between the floor and the ceiling. man that split background is REALLY bugging me, lol. I have a slightly fixed version but it has some other issues.. like a little more distortion on the mid sections. but no splitting. still looks good to me though. It shouldn't really distort much if you make the sphere big enough.
Thanks. You don't happen to have a mirrored ball at your disposal for making HDR images, do you? This worked out particularly well for practicing 3D compositing because of all the open space in the panorama. Lots of places to "arrange" things.

***"If your just looking for a Sphere that has a great reflective quality, then I made one I could send you if you IM me your e-mail address. I have used it in a few scenes and it works with the sweetness, it might work in yours as well."***Hmmm. Are we talking about the same thing here? I'm talking about using a ball-bearing or some such mirrored ball for making your own lightprobes and radiance maps. A technique like the one that is illustrated at the link above. If that's what you mean, then yeah... I'd be interested in getting my hands on a ball bearing to make my own. :-)

No, I don't think so. What I made is a 2 part sphere that reflects all that is around it very clearly. If your scene has four walls and a floor and roof then this is what you want, if your looking for a hdr image imposed ball, well you have to create that and then apply it to the sphere itself. Much harder in my opinion, unless you have that cool one your using now. In short I have made a high reflection, low refraction, deep image absorbing 2 layer sphere that works well when you want to see whats in the render besides the head on shot. I hope you understand what I mean, I am a horrible teacher/instructor! ;)

How tall are you? LOL. If you don't mind me asking, I've been practicing composite renders with your panoramic image, and it might help in determining where to place the camera to achieve better perspective in shots like this.Hope your mom doesn't mind the chair and orb-like-thing I placed in your livingroom. Just two more things for her to dust I suppose. LOL
