Maybe an odd/Crazy question here. Been trying to figure out how I can make hollow tubes in Poser5. I been learning Dr.Geeps tutorials. And I am finally getting somewhere in P5 :-) I have plans for a prop, and I need hollow tubes. Only new how to make hollow tubes or is their any around? You will understand in the future..why. "Oh ok..gotcha :-)"

For a straight tube, use a cylindar, and the grouping tool to remove the ends. For a bended one, you can use a torus, and use the grouping tool to cut it in half. (assuming you know how to use the grouping tool, since you said you've been following Geep's tutorials.) you can also combine the torus or cylindar parts by exporting and then importing to make a long twisted hose as I did here http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=677423

what kinda tubes do you need- L-pipes- straight pipes- t-pipes?? let me know :) wall thickness? rough diameter?

Hollow Tubes. Straight pipes. Doesn't matter of the thickness. I can scale it out in Poser.

If it wasn't for Dr.Geeps tutorial. I would have never made this Valve Cover. :-) This one was just a test. Not the best. But good enough for learning. I am working on a engine V8 Chevy block. Like to make it animated. This is why I like to have hollow tubes for the cylinders. Then later Ford. Things can be made in poser. :-)

Thanks Dr.Geep

If all you want is the hole -- that it, you want to see the inside of the tube but not the outside -- remember that the grouping tool also allows you to reverse the normals.

Looking to figure out how to make hollow tubes or is their any around. Cylinder type tubes. This is for a project I am on. Engine block, cylinders for pistons. Then animations.

i have some stuff for free download page - see at: http://www.joes3dfantasyworlds.com/down/primitives/primitives01.htm you may also try my morphing ring, you can adjust height, inner and outer diameter and then export the whole thing as obj - and reimport it for later use.
