Anyone had, and solved this? I haven't used bryce for some time and now my user library will no longer show my collected objects (obp) I opened a few saved files and bryce still can find the used objects, so they're not gone. The only thing I changed the last weeks is installing the import plugin from DAZ. Since I have some 500 Mb of collected objects I almost freaked out today and I need some help... HELP!

Pmaker, did you try the "import" button at the bottom of the library on those saved files? If that stuff is still on your hard drive you should be able to import it back into the library. Did you make space on your PC lately and perhaps inadvertently deleted the file's habitat?

Time for library maintenance. You will have to delete your user obp file and re import the one's you need. It is doing yourself no favors to store obp's in your library. Keep them on cd or hard drive and import the one's you need to work with on a per project basis. Having your user libraries stuffed with obp's is asking for trouble and freaking out your Bryce.(Not that you did this, it is just a general word of warning.)

There are a few things you can try. Exit Bryce and check for any *.tmp files in your preset folders. If you find any, delete them. Try again. If that did not help, try to defrag your hard drive. Bryce tend to really frag the drive and it may help. Otherwise, check out the tutorial I have on my site to help you organize your libraries - and always have a backup.

Well, thanks for the replies. No strange tmp-files found so it's not gonna be that simple. I'll try defrag (and decaf for me) I'll let you know what happened

defrag won't make any difference....you have overloaded the library and Bryce has had enough! lol. ...don't put too much stuff in there and do what GROINGRINDER suggests! johny.

I find the safest way to save models is to save them as a scene files then merge it into the scene I'm working on. Lot less trouble with the library. I onlt store textures/materials there.

Yes. It was sad. I lost the last 30 of mine as well....fortunantly I keep backups in the original scene files where I built them :) ...however, I have about 300 original scene files.... hmm

You have angered the god of bryce. Sacrifice three hundred roller ball mice and maybe you will be spared.

Well, defrag didn't do the trick so I'll be busy finding everything back again and take your advice; no more large libraries. Just to be sure I'm still busy sacrificing...
