Subject: Broadcast Video and Bryce

Okay, I've done two mediocre, problem riddled cg animated projects for television now. At least I know some good questions to ask about doing this thing right. The biggest is this: Are there any good sites, tutorials, books whatever that go over the ins and outs of setting up a Bryce or Poser (or both) animation with the intent of delivering it on broadcast television or projected film? In particular I'm looking for a way to choose what animation codec (NTSC - DV, Sorenson, etc.) would look best on what final delivery method, how to choose video safe colors (and how many - 8, 16 or 24 bit) and of course just in general, what kind of things (weird textures, etc.) just look icky on whatever delivery method. Anyone have any leads for me?
