Subject: wallpaper resolution

i read somewhere about what resolution and size to start my wallpaper art at but i cant find it for highly detailed art what shoul i use for a desktop wallpaper set above 1024 by 868

Most monitors are 72 ppi. If you want to make wallpaper for yourself, set the pixelXpixel size to your screen resolution. If you want to make a variety of sizes for others to use, make them 640X480, 800X600, and 1024X768. That should cover most of it. If anyone wants something bigger, they can resize it, or ask for it.
