Welcome to the Poser Technical Forum.
Where computer nerds can Pull out their slide rules and not get laughed at. Pocket protectors are not required. ;-)
This is the place you come to ask questions and share new ideas about using the internal file structure of Poser to push the program past it's normal limits.
New users are encouraged to read the FAQ sections here and on the Poser forum before asking questions.
OBP is Bryce, Poser can't import it. The only option I can think about is loading the OBP into Bryce and then try exporting it as .OBJ. Bryce can't export everything, so I don't know if that works. You can import the OBJ in Poser and save it to a library. Textures can be a pain, though. Place them in a subfolder of :Runtime:Textures and use CorrectReference (here in freestuff) to fix the material references. If you have bought/downloaded Poser specific content, the easiest way is just unzipping it to the Poser folder. Textures and geometry files usually go into the right folders then. Since most content is for P4, the hierarchy structure of P5 is not used. Just drag the new folders to a more sensible location in your libraries using Explorer.

I am learning poser 5, as I go in general, I work a project and read up on it when I arrive at something new. Problem... Reading is not getting me there for this one. How do you deal with opening content into a scene in Poser 5 when that content is in the OBP format? My preference is to take content that I have bought or recived free in zip file form, and unzip it to my computers unzipped area... an go File>Imoprt> and to Poser/prop, WavefrontObj, or 3DS Ect (as I need it). My second is making it a file in Poser5 Downloads, in the Poser5 Library, by means of draging from one file to the other in Windows Explorer. Last is by manually using winzip to place the files right into Poser5 runtime as a dirrect unzip. ( the last option being the least desiried method.) any advice thanks James Mcloughlin jimmijames67@hotmail.com
