I'm thinking of buying Vue. I already have Poser 4 and would like to know if it's going to be possible to import my Poser models/figures into Vue software. Thank you for your help.

Yes, you can import Poser figures, scenes, and animations directly into Vue d'Esprit. Check out the Vue gallery here, you'll find quite a bit of Poser/Vue work.

As an aside, Vue 3 is available on at least one currect magazine cover-disk, here in the UK. It looks like one or two non-Poser models may come out better in a different rendering engine, so I shall give it a try, rather than importing them to Poser. Pointers to information on the Poser --> Vue transfer would be appreciated.

By the way, vue 3 does not import poser figures. Just to make that clear.

I render my poser figures in Vue d'Espirt 4 fairly often now. It is really simple to load them - just go to 'Edit' --> 'Import Model' and file the pz3 file on your system. You occasionally have to track down the odd texture if vue can't find it and you have the option of combining all the models in your poser scene into a single vue object when you import them to make them easier to move around together.

Might want to bear in mind Vue d'Espirit 5 is out at the end of september. Oh, and to import animations into d'espirit of vue pro you also need 'Mover 5' from the same people

Thanks for the clarification. I'll give Vue 3 a try, the models I'm having the problems with are not originally in a Poser format, and it looks as though they could be rendered in Vue to make a background for Poser.

You can bring the models in as .obj's, and texture them in Vue 3 (done it), and texture them in Vue, not sure how many textures there are for Vue 3 (go to Freebies, Vue, then start with the oldest, and work your way forward)..do it a lot in Bryce meself..;)

DON'T FORGET in Vue 4 you need to install the latest service pack as previouse to this Vue has problem's importing SOME obj's
